HOLY SPIRIT
He convicts, teaches, leads, and comforts.
There are a lot of myths about who the Holy Spirit is. The Holy Spirit is regarded by others as a supernatural power.
Others see the Holy Spirit as an impersonal force that God makes accessible to Christ's followers.
What does the Bible tell about the Holy Spirit's identity?
Simply stated, the Holy Spirit is God, according to the Bible. The Holy Spirit, according to the Bible, is a spiritual being with a conscience, feelings, and a will.
“The Father creates a plan, Jesus Christ implements the plan, and the Holy Spirit administers the plan.”
Why We Need The Holy Spirit
In summary, the Father is the Maker, the Son is the Executor, and the Holy Spirit is the Giver of Redemption to Believers. The Father is the Origin of salvation, the Son is the Means of salvation, and the Holy Spirit is the Effector of salvation—He convicts, convinces, and converts.
The Father.
The Father, God, is love. He is the originator and mastermind behind the redemption plan.
The Father is the one who sent His Son to carry out His vision for humanity's salvation.
The Son.
In devotion to the Father, Jesus took on flesh and died on the cross so that the world could be rescued from sin by His blood.
Jesus is a high priest and mediator for His people, having bridged the divide between the Father and mankind. He is the world's saviour and the church's leader.
The Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit convicts, teaches, leads, and comforts those who are sent by the Father. He sanctifies and dwells in God's people's souls.
The Holy Spirit empowers and encourages people to live in accordance with the Father's will.
The Holy Spirit Is a Person.
The Holy Spirit, according to the Bible, has all of the characteristics of personality and is not simply an impersonal power. For example, Jesus referred to the Holy Spirit as "He" rather than "It" in John chapters 14, 15, and 16.
The Holy Spirit was often referred to by Jesus as the Comforter or Counselor (John 14:16 and 15:26). The terms "advising," "exhorting," "comforting," "strengthening," "interceding," and "encouraging" are all included in this title.
Furthermore, the Bible clearly states that the Holy Spirit is God Himself. A man who lied to the Holy Spirit is said to have lied to God in Acts 5:1-4. The Holy Spirit is often mentioned in the Bible as possessing God-like qualities and carrying out God's will.
He convicts people of sin, justice, and judgment (John 16:8-11) and gives those who believe in Jesus new life (John 3:8).
In Bible passages like Matthew 28:19, He is mentioned alongside the Father and the Son, indicating that He is the third Person of the Holy Trinity. The apostles are commanded to baptize all who accept the Gospel "in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,"
The Holy Spirit came upon people in the Old Testament, anointing them for a particular mission or intention (Exodus 31:1-5; Numbers 24:2).
The Holy Spirit is said to reside within all believers (1 Corinthians 6:19), to remind them that they are God's children (Romans 8:16), to allow them to live the Christian life (Romans 8:9, 12-15), and to reward them for Christian service (Romans 8:9, 12-15) in the New Testament (1 Corinthians, chapter 12).
Bible Quote
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
2 Corinthians 13:13
How Do I Get The Holy Spirit?
For ALL People
The Holy Spirit also has a role to play in the lives of non-Christians. He convicts people's hearts with God's truth about how evil we are — and how we need God's forgiveness; and how righteous Jesus is — and how we need God's forgiveness.
He perished in our place, for our sins, and for the world and those who do not know God's ultimate judgment.
The Holy Spirit tugs at our hearts and minds, pleading with us to confess and seek salvation and a new life from God.
