What is baptism and why do I need it?
We are preaching the gospel message as we reach the waters of baptism.
Jesus perished on the cross for our crimes, was buried, and then raised again. We associate ourselves with Him by joining in baptism.
We have been buried with Him by baptism into death, according to Romans 6:4.
We've defeated the force of sin. Our new life in Christ and our union with Him are symbolized by being lifted from the water.
If you were to sum up the essence of baptism in one word, it would be identity.
Baptism is mainly a public declaration of one's religious affiliation with Jesus Christ.
When Should I Get Baptized
Baptism, whether as a baby, infant, or adult, is the beginning of an incredible journey of belief as a follower of Jesus Christ. You are never too old to be baptized, and it is a great experience to be baptized as an adult.
You may have been baptized as a child at a christening or in another Christian custom, and there are still unique opportunities to reinforce the promises you made back then as you learn more about what it involves to carry them out in your life.

How Baptism Relates to Jesus
1.
It means we've made the decision to leave our old lives of sin behind and embrace a new life in Jesus Christ.
2.
It means we are openly associating ourselves with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection.
3.
It implies that we are freely entering the ranks of Christians

The Silent Sermon
You are, in truth, visibly preaching the gospel once you are baptized. "I perished with Jesus Christ, I was laid with him, and now I am reborn with Christ to brand-new life," you are saying as you stand in the water preparing to be baptized.
In other words, you are delivering a sermon by your baptism without saying anything. And since it originates from you, your baptismal sermon would be more influential with your pals than any preaching the pastor preaches on Sunday morning.
Why Should I Get Baptized
A.
You represent Jesus' death on the cross. While being submerged into the water.
B.
You represent Jesus being buried in the tomb. As you're being lifted out of the water.
C.
You reflect Jesus' ascension from the dead.
