Prayer for the grieving

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you with heavy hearts, Seeking your comfort and solace in our time of grief. We lift up those who are mourning the loss of a loved one, And ask for your presence to be felt deeply in their sorrow.

Grant them strength to bear their pain, And courage to face each day with hope and resilience. May they find peace in knowing that you are near, And that you weep with them in their sadness.

Comfort them with the knowledge that their loved one is in your eternal embrace, And that one day, they will be reunited in your heavenly kingdom. Help them to cherish the memories they hold dear, And to find comfort in the love they shared.

Surround them with supportive friends and family, And guide them towards healing and wholeness in the midst of their loss. May they feel your loving arms wrapped around them, And know that they are never alone in their grief.

We trust in your promise of eternal life, And we surrender all our sorrows and burdens to your loving care. May your grace sustain us in our time of need, And may we find strength and peace in your presence.
